KRA, the largest cloud computing business development company, has been acquired by Amazon.com, the world leader in cloud computing, for $9.4 billion.
The company, which was founded in 2010, now has more than 15,000 employees in over 180 countries.
KRA was founded on the premise that “it’s not the job to be in the cloud, it’s the job of the cloud to be you,” the company’s CEO, Kevin Krieg, said in a statement.
Krieg is the company founder.
The acquisition, which Krieg said was a result of “continuing strong synergies with Amazon,” was announced Tuesday.
Amazon has been the largest provider of cloud computing for companies like Netflix, Amazon Web Services, and Amazon Web Tools.
