Juventus have signed Italian striker Leonardo Pirlos for a fee in excess of €16 million, according to reports in Italy.

The 20-year-old striker will join Serie A side Roma on a loan deal from Fiorentina, according the Corriere dello Sport (CNS).

Pirlos, who scored 14 goals in 34 games last season, scored his first Serie A goal against Sampdoria in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday, and will join up with Juventus next month for the final leg of the Serie A season.

Roma have a €30m release clause in Pirls contract and are looking to sell it for a profit.

Rafa Benitez’s men will begin their season at home against Udinese on March 25.
